Chehalem Glenn Golf Course offers 18 holes of the finest golf in
Oregon’s wine country. The regions newest golf course opened in 2005 to rave reviews and was quickly recognized as one of the most challenging courses in the
Portland area. As a public golf course it is open to all who want to test their game.
Quality affordable golf in the heart of the Yamhill County wine country.
In the mid 1990’s, the Chehalem Park and Recreation District set out on a vision to bring quality, affordable golf to public golfers in the area. That vision led to the original purchase of land that the current back nine holes of Chehalem Glenn now occupies. The rest of that original land is set aside for a future expansion of nine additional holes. In the mid 2000’s, the Werth family from Newberg generously donated the land that the front nine occupies as part of the development of The Greens neighborhood. The front nine opened in July of 2005, with the second nine following two years later. In 2010, Chehalem Glenn was recognized by the readers of the Portland Business Journal as the #1 Most Challenging Course, #2 Favorite Public Course, and #3 Favorite Course To Host A Golf Tournament.
The golf course measures over 7,000 yards from the back tees, if you are brave enough to play it from there. There are multiple tee boxes that allow a golfer to tailor the challenge to their ability, making the experience enjoyable for all golfers. Chehalem Glenn offers many amenities for golfers to improve their game including lessons from PGA professionals and apprentices. There is a grass-tee driving range, two putting greens, and a wonderful short game facility that allows players to hit shots up to 50 yards onto a 7,000 square foot green.
The beautiful setting in Oregon's wine country, the 160 person capacity event pavilion and the full fleet of carts make Chehalem Glenn the perfect venue to host your event. The staff has extensive experience coordinating tournaments of all sizes, from small gatherings of friends to full field fundraisers and welcomes your inquiries.
